We’re All About Adventure

Water Safaris

Elephant Valley Lodge Boat Safari.  Enjoy a morning cruise along the beautiful Chobe River in one of our motor boats.  It’s a great way to see the riverine bird life such as kingfishers, herons and the majestic African Fish Eagle.  You will also have a chance to see at least the eyes and ears of hippo as they wallow in the shallower water and a crocodile or two, not to mention the prolific wild life that come to the water’s edge for a drink.

Kadizora Camp Mokoro Safari. Traditional mokoros (dug-out canoes) glide through the Delta water channels and provide an opportunity to view the aquatic wildlife from a close vantage point. The crystal, clear waters are filtered by large papyrus reed beds and the waters are clean enough to drink.

Kadizora motor boating. From the safety of a motor boat you can see crocodiles basking in the sun and pods of hippo wallowing in the lagoon. Your skipper will navigate the waters to ensure the best bird sightings possible.

Saguni Safari Lodge Mokoro Safari. Experience a tranquil mokoro (traditional dug out canoe) trip with the best and carefully trained specialist guides. Travel along the fascinating Mbudi water channels of Khwai. This stunning area is known as the Sable Alley system of the Khwai river. A mokoro excursion is not to be missed; you travel through the reed and papyrus lined waterways, winding your way around the lagoon. Listen to the bird calls and the tinking of the reed frog as you discover the local plant and animal life, both large and small.
